Three men from County Armagh are being questioned in connection with a car bomb left in the grounds of a hotel in Armagh city.

A police spokesperson said the men were arrested on Wednesday night.

Army technicians defused the device, made up of gas cylinders, outside the Armagh City Hotel earlier that day.

The car was one of two vehicles stolen from outside a pensioner's house in the Ballyrath area of the city at about 2300 GMT on Tuesday.
