The Taoiseach and the British prime minister are to have talks at Farmleigh House in Dublin on Thursday.

The two men will review the peace process and focus on issues to be addressed to bring about the full restoration of the democratic institutions of the Good Friday Agreement.

In that context, they are also to emphasise the need for all of the parties to engage intensively in the coming months, beginning with talks scheduled by the two governments for early February.

The Taoiseach will be accompanied at Thursday's talks by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Justice.

The prime minister will be accompanied by the Northern Secretary, Peter Hain.
